About Us

Who are we

We are a collective of passionate graduates from the University of the Free State who came together with one shared mission - to transform the future of young people in South Africa. United by our experiences, our challenges, and our belief in the power of opportunity, we founded Skill Seed Foundation to plant seeds of hope, empowerment, and possibility in every community we touch. We understand firsthand what it means to rise through adversity, to navigate education with limited support, and to build a future from a place of determination. And it is from this lived experience that Skill Seed Foundation was born a movement created by young people, for young people, to drive change, inspire growth, and shape tomorrow's leaders.

Our Story

Skill Seed Foundation was founded with a simple but powerful idea: plant a seed today and grow a leader tomorrow. What began as a passion for youth upliftment and skills development has grown into a movement focused on creating sustainable impact in communities. We saw the challenges young people face unemployment, lack of skills, limited access to technology, and poor career guidance and we chose to be part of the solution.
